We got the idea for this program originally from The ScreenSavers around 1999, our favorite show, so we decided to build a robust but simple program to automate the complicated process they described. Multi-Award Winning Web Lightning XP is a unique and very powerful, yet intuitive program. Designed to be easily understood and used by complete computer novices, with all of the powerful work being done in the background. Taking all of the guesswork out, leaving a streamlined, very fast browsing experience. Web Lightning XP will Dramatically speed up the time it takes to access web sites that you visit often. It works on any connection speed, be it dial-up, cable/DSL, or higher. Once a site is added to the Web Lightning list, you no longer need to keep the program running, therefore no computer memory is used to keep the results coming! Single website/domain additions. Automatic Major Search Engine additions. Automatic addition of all of your Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera bookmarks to speed up every site you have bookmarked! Ability to easily edit your list of sites. Convenient Online Update System. Internet Explorer toolbar Integration. If you decide to add the website you are currently viewing, simply click the Web Lightning XP Icon in your browser and it is added to the list! Soon to come in the next update: (Screenshots) Completely new engine! Exponentially faster than before with the option to add multiple IP's from a single host if found! Information added for webmasters affiliate program. Added server blocking. This option will block your computer from connecting to any server/site. Works great for blocking unwanted ads on websites or adult websites. Works even better than simply blocking cookies. You can add a server to block right away, or block it later using the editor. Changed the text within the program (all editable areas) from black to white for easier reading. Changed the delete confirmation to show the sitename rather than the DNS. Duplicate website checking. If you select the duplicate checking feature, it will search your current list to see if the site has been added already. If so, it will not be added. Automatically checks if there is an active internet connection. If no connection is detected, you will get a notice. You can ignore the notice however and continue to try and use the program. In case it mis-detected under some proxies, routers, etc. OS checking. Affects the XP Style graphics and file locations. Changed the location of the db file depending on the OS. (Detected automatically) CRC checking to help ensure stability. Find Site feature to the Editor. If you have a whole lot of sites in the list, you can search for a site much faster now than manually scrolling through the list trying to find it. Remembrance of all options selected. Highlighting of selected options. Added an options tab with a list of new options. Windows XP Look. Added Pinging of sites in the list with percentage display and aborting! You can now right click on a single site in the list and ping just that site. You can now change the description for a site in the list. Right click and select "Edit Description" Web Lightning XP allows you to completley customize it's look according to your preference.
